Alexandros Alexandrou Pallis was born on 20 October 1883 in Bombay, studied Political Science in Balliol College, in one of the oldest and most accredited Oxford colleges, and he received his P.hd. from Oxford University. He worked in various government positions: in the English administration of Egypt, as a General Secretary of the General Administration of Macedonia, member of the Joint Commission for the Exchange of Greek-Turkish Populations of the Treaty of Lausanne, a Parliament Member and Plenipotentiary Minister in the Embassy of London.
Along with his public duties and tasks, A.A.Pallis had, like his father, literary and philological interests. He wrote numerous studies about events he lived or political problems he faced as a representative of the Government and other organizations. His philological works are no less. His most well-known work is “The leaflet of Alexander the Great” (1960). Personal Archive
