Lake run, is the biggest sports event of Ioannina that is annually made on the third weekend of September attracting thousands of runners from the entire country and abroad. Five and ten kilometer runs, a 30-kilometer power walking race and the original “Mum-Stoller” lake run, they all aim at the promotion of Pamvotida Lake, sportsmanship and voluntarism.

It is a week of activities and cultural and athletic events, with the goal to showcase the importance of Pamvotida Lake as a source of inspiration and acquaint the children with local history and traditions.
