A regular exhibition that aims at highlighting the spiritual, social and artistic affairs of the Pre-revolution and Revolution period of the city of Ioannina and the wider area, through rich materials, held on the occasion of the 200 year-celebration from the onset of the Greek Revolution.
Manuscripts and incunabula, from the Rare Collections of Zosimaia, from representatives of the Neohellenic Enlightenment are presented, directly related to the city of Letters during the Pre-revolution and Revolution period, but also from their Benefactors, the foreign Travelers and, naturally, works of Rigas and Byron. They all exhibit the passionate love for the Homeland and the faith in that “When the lights shine, slavery will necessarily end…” [Otan ta fota lampsosin I douleia ex anagkis tha pafsi…].
